Venue Search

The GRATIS ‘Search for a Venue Module’ provides a powerful search facility allowing you to choose from a variety of functions and criteria, create a shortlist and export the details to the Enquiry Module.






Options available are Advanced Search; Quick Search, Map Search or Search by Name.


Advanced Search provides the most comprehensive option – you can choose criteria from up to 9 categories covering: 


Geographical Location, Venue Name, Meeting Rooms & capacities, Bedrooms, Transportation, Venue Style, Equipment available, Facilities (on & off-site), and Delegate Rates were loaded by participating venues.





You can also search for accreditations and affiliations by expanding the Hotel/Venue section and typing in a keyword such as green to find all the green accreditations and affiliations.


Once you’ve selected your criteria simply hit search to display the results.


TIP – reducing the search criteria will return a larger selection





Quick Search


This provides a more focused facility to select your venues by Location, Destination or Venue Group or by typing in the first few letters of your venue in the Search by Name field, GRATIS returns a list for you to select the correct venue.




Map Search


This facility offers three Location search options; Interactive Map, London Tube Map or London Postcodes.

To use the Interactive Map, simply click on your chosen area and drop a pin. 

The search radius defaults to 10 miles, but you can change this using the drop-down pick-list. Click on the Search Command button to display the results.


London Tube Map Search


Click once on the London Tube Map command button to display the map:



You can move your map location using the red arrows located on each side of the map, or by positioning the cursor over the small map image; click once on your chosen station and this will populate the station field, then type in the maximum distance and hit the search command button to display your results.


London Postcode Search


Open the Postcode Search by clicking once on the London Postcode search command button. 




Use the colour coded legend displayed on the left to identify the postcode prefixes and click on the number on the map to select, alternatively you can type the postcode into the Selected Postcodes field, click on the Search command button to display your results.




Finally, if you know the venue you wish to use, you can Search by Venue Name drop-down, by typing the venue name and clicking on the correct venue from the dropdown list provided.


However you choose to search for your venue, your results list will be displayed in the same manner:




You can scroll through the listing and then shortlist your venues by clicking the check-box next to your chosen venue name or the green select command button on the right.



Once you have made your selection, click on the Add Selected command button at the top of the page, to transfer your chosen venues to your shortlist.



TIP at this stage you can delete any unrequired venues from your shortlist or add further ones using any of the search functions.


The final stage in the search process is to convert your shortlist into an enquiry that you can then transmit to your selected venues. 


Click once on the command button Transfer Shortlist to Enquiry and a new enquiry module will open in a separate tab pre-populated with your venues.  Simply follow the new enquiries procedure to process.


TIP – there is also a facility to display a Telephone List rather than a create a new enquiry if you prefer, by clicking on the create telephone list command button.
