What happens after you clear cache and cookies
After you clear your cache and cookies:
- Some site settings will be reset – for example, you may need to sign in again to websites.
- If you have Chrome sync turned on, you’ll stay signed in to the Google account you sync with, so your data can be cleared across all synced devices.
- Some sites may load more slowly at first because images and other content need to download again.
What are cache and cookies?
- Cookies are small files created by websites you visit. They store information (like login details or site preferences) to make your browsing experience easier.
- The cache stores parts of web pages, such as images, so that they can load faster the next time you visit.
